Kayadee Studio is a Stockholm art studio for porcelain painting, pottery and painting. First time or fiftieth, both work.

What we offer
Three ways to begin

Porcelain painting
Pick a piece and make it your own. All skill levels are welcome, so you don't need to know how to paint to get started.

Pottery
Get your hands in the clay and shape something only you could have made. Unique pieces, uneven edges and all.

Painting
Try different techniques, mix colours and see where it goes. You don't need to know the answer before you start.
From lump to pot
How a lump of clay becomes a pot

It starts with a lump.
A little water, a spinning wheel and a fairly ugly lump of clay.

Pull it up.
Your hands squeeze and the clay grows. This is where everyone goes quiet for a while.

Open it out.
Thumbs down the middle, and suddenly it's a vessel rather than a lump.

Give it character.
Widen it, shape a rim, add some colour. Now it's yours.
The studio
Bring a friend. Or come alone and meet some new ones.
This is where you try things, make a mess, steal each other's ideas and go home with something you made yourself.

We'll show you how everything works. Then it's your turn, at your own pace. No experience needed for porcelain painting.

You leave having made something yourself. We'll tell you how and when your piece will be ready to take home.
Try it yourself
Can you throw a pot?
Hold on the wheel and drag. Squeeze the clay and it grows taller, pull it out and it sinks. Just like the real thing, minus the clay under your nails.
